Recently, Forbes Magazine had an article introducing "Come my way" - the new product of Son Tung M-TP and rapper Tyga.
According to the magazine, after more than a decade of building a name and becoming one of the most influential artists in V-pop, Son Tung M-TP does not hide his ambition to conquer the international market.
The collaboration with American rapper Tyga in the song "Come my way" is considered a new step, marking efforts to bring Vietnamese music further on the world music map.
The product was released on global digital music platforms and quickly attracted the attention of audiences thanks to the combination of modern music and Vietnamese cultural imprints.

Come my way" was composed by Son Tung M-TP, Tyga and producer Marvey Muziqyue - who was nominated for a Grammy. The song has a modern R&B color, combining Afrobeats with catchy melodies, creating an easy-to-listen, energetic and internationally breathing song.
Considered one of the most influential artists of V-pop today, Son Tung M-TP has built his own mark by harmonizing many genres of music such as R&B, hip-hop, EDM, tropical house and contemporary pop.
In that journey, the male singer always strives to bring Vietnamese cultural materials into his music products in a modern and close to young audiences way.
Tyga's appearance in this project creates an interesting meeting between two cultures. The American rapper with Vietnamese blood has brought a distinctive hip-hop color, while Son Tung M-TP continues to promote his strength in building melodies and images imbued with Asian identity.

Sharing about this collaboration, Tyga said he felt this was a special opportunity to connect with his roots: "Working with Son Tung M-TP gives me the opportunity to reconnect with a part of the heritage that always exists in me. I am always proud of my Vietnamese origin and it is meaningful to honor that through music".
Not only attracting attention with its music, the MV "Come my way" is also highly appreciated for its way of incorporating many Vietnamese cultural symbols into the international context.
The footage was made in Los Angeles (USA) and Vietnam, creating an intersection between the two worlds represented by Son Tung M-TP and Tyga.
In the MV, the image of Lac Bird - a symbol associated with Dong Son culture - appears prominently among the modern buildings of Los Angeles.
Besides, there are scenes filmed at Trang An scenic complex (Ninh Binh), dancers wearing Xuan Pha masks, or images reminiscent of the Bay Nui bullfighting festival (An Giang).
All are placed next to familiar symbols of American popular culture such as the DeLorean DMC-12 car, creating an interesting dialogue between tradition and modernity.
Many viewers also paid attention to the appearance of symbolic details such as jade buffaloes, modernized ao dai and future technology elements.
This is considered Son Tung M-TP's way of telling the story of a Vietnam that both preserves its cultural identity and constantly transforms in the era of globalization.
According to Son Tung M-TP, "Come my way" is not simply a music project but also a cultural bridge.
We want to create a product with international spirit but still retain our own roots and values. That is what makes this project special," Son Tung M-TP shared.
In the context of more and more Asian artists making their mark on the world music map by bringing national identity into their art products, Son Tung M-TP is also on a similar path.
If BTS once introduced Korean cultural values, Lisa promoted the image of Thailand through solo products, then the male singer born in 1994 is contributing to bringing Vietnamese cultural symbols closer to international audiences.
This is not the first time Son Tung M-TP has collaborated with American artists. Previously, he attracted attention when collaborating with rapper Snoop Dogg and singer Madison Beer in the song "Hay trao cho anh" released in 2019.
However, with "Come my way", the cultural connection is shown more clearly, showing the long-term orientation of the male singer in bringing Vietnamese music to the world.
