Culture, Sports and Tourism staff on duty 24/7 to respond to and overcome the consequences of storm No. 10

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued an official dispatch directing the urgent support for people in 15 provinces and cities to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) has just sent a telegram to the Directors of the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departments of Culture and Sports, Departments of Tourism in the following provinces and cities: Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Phu Tho, Son La, Lao Cai, Da Nang, Lang Son, Cao Bang, Thai Nguyen and Heads of agencies and units under the Ministry, requesting urgent implementation of measures to respond to and overcome the consequences of storm No. 10.

According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, storm No. 10 with strong winds, wide range of impact, long storm circulation time and very large rainfall caused heavy damage to people and property, seriously affecting people's lives in many provinces and cities.

To implement the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch No. 178/CD-TTg dated September 29, 2025, the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested localities and affiliated units to focus highly on overcoming the consequences.

Directors of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Culture and Sports, and the Department of Tourism in the above 15 provinces and cities are required to closely follow the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister, strictly implement the Prime Minister's telegrams No. 173, 174, 175, and 176, and promptly inspect, evaluate, and comprehensively review the affected areas.

Units must proactively coordinate with local authorities and authorities to support affected people and tourists, ensuring the spirit of "leaving no one behind".

The Ministry also emphasized the need to focus on reviewing and evaluating the status of cultural works, sports, historical - cultural relics, scenic spots, tourist areas and spots affected by storms; promptly developing solutions to overcome them, ensuring safety, integrity, and maintaining the cultural - historical values of the works.

For agencies and units under the Ministry in the locality that are directly affected, leaders of units must urgently inspect and assess the damage at the grassroots level, review construction works and works under construction, immediately deploy timely and effective response and remedial measures.

The Department of Press, the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, the Department of Information and the Department of Foreign Information are assigned the task of directing national communication work, ensuring complete and accurate information on storm, flood developments, response direction and activities to support people in disaster areas.

To ensure smooth direction, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requests the Directors of Departments and Heads of units to assign leaders and staff on duty 24/7, to monitor and update the situation, promptly support response and overcoming the consequences. Localities and units must regularly report to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (through the Ministry's Office) for synthesis and reporting to the leaders of the Ministry and the Government.
