On the afternoon of October 1, a quick report from the Department of Agriculture and Environment showed that the whole Lao Cai province had 3 deaths, 7 missing people, and 9 injured people.
The total number of houses with blown-off, damaged, and flooded roofs is 8,871, and 3,767 households in dangerous areas must be evacuated to safe places.

In the agricultural sector, floods caused damage to more than 2,357 hectares of crops including rice, corn, vegetables and other crops.
Floods caused 9,710 poultry to die, 10 buffaloes, cows, and 143 pigs to be swept away, causing aquatic damage of 103.432 hectares; 10.65 tons of fish to be damaged.
Hydropower plants: Nam Tha 3,4,5; Bac Ha Hydropower Plant, Bao Nhai Hydropower Plant level 1,2, Lang Bang Hydropower Plant, Minh Luong Thuong Hydropower Plant, Phuc Long Hydropower Plant, Suoi Chut 2 Hydropower Plant were eroded, mud filled, and internal traffic roads were damaged by landslides.




In the province, there were 71,526 customers without power; 652 power stations were cut off; power outages in the (old) districts of Van Ban, Bao Thang, Sapa, Lao Cai; Yen Bai, Tran Yen, Van Yen, Luc Yen.
Regarding traffic, there are 7 national highways and 14 provincial roads affected, with a total of more than 200 landslides.
Rural traffic was eroded at over 3,684 points with a total volume of rock and soil of about 5,628,000 m3, damaging drainage and auxiliary items...
The storm also broke 4,650 trees and signs on the damaged roads.
Vehicles damaged by flooding (256 cars, 5,156 motorbikes and all equipment and assets of households, individuals and businesses were flooded, landslides, flash floods were lost, and damage has not been determined).


Along with that, medical and educational infrastructure was also affected, with some schools, cultural houses and irrigation works having their roofs blown off and landslides.
The initial damage is estimated at about 2,750 billion VND.
Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, functional forces were present at the scene in time to command and encourage people to help overcome the damage.



For landslides, management units have organized the first step of repairing them to ensure traffic for vehicles and people.

Consecutive storms 8, 9, 10 and floods caused by the storm have killed 19 people and many people are missing. Many houses and production and business establishments had their roofs blown off and suffered heavy damage.
