Currently, artist Phuong Lien is living a peaceful life with her family, she chose a slow, simple life. No longer the stage's glory, no dense performance schedule like in her golden age, her life is wrapped in everyday activities: listening to old Cai Luong excerpts, taking care of her family altar and keeping in touch with some old friends in the profession.
After the incident of losing her partner in 2022, artist Phuong Lien once fell into depression, she needed someone to support her in her daily life.
After that, she regained her spirit, however, her age and health no longer allowed her to move around much or participate in regular community activities. However, she still maintains a calm and calm attitude, considering Cai Luong as a part of her blood, an inseparable memory of her entire professional life.
At the end of 2025, artist Phuong Lien suddenly returned to Vietnam after many years away from home. The trip is not noisy, not performative or promotional, but simply a journey to find the origin, visit relatives and meet colleagues who have been close to them for a long time. For her, being able to return to Ho Chi Minh City, go through familiar roads and hear the warm voices of old friends was a great comfort in her old age.

Her health and age forced her to return to the backstage, playing the role of a cai luong memory preserver rather than an artist on stage.
