On May 21, the Executive Committee of the Da Nang Buddhist Sangha held a meeting to establish a Ward Riding Organizing Committee, assign tasks, and develop a script to honor the Buddha - a national treasure of India in Da Nang City.
According to the program, the Buddha's protection will be offered at Quan The Am Pagoda, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City from May 30 to May 2, 2025 for a large number of Buddhists and people to worship.
Khong Phat - an Indian national treasure, being led and honored for the first time in Vietnam on the occasion of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival is an important event of sacred and rare significance.
Previously, on May 20, the Indian Government agreed to extend the time for displaying Buddha's benefits in Vietnam after May 21.
In the previous days, with the consent of the Government of Vietnam and the Government of India, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha organized a procession to pay tribute to the merits of Buddha from May 2-21, 2025.

This is the 4th time that the festival of Buddha Shakyamuni has been led outside of India.
The Buddha's favor has been honored at 4 places for people across the country to freely come and worship and observe the festival, including: Thanh Tam Pagoda (Ho Chi Minh City), Ba Den Mountain (Tay Ninh), Quan Su Pagoda (Hanoi) and Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam).
Notably, at any location, the number of people and Buddhists coming to worship is very large. In particular, at Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam), from May 17 to 20, tens of thousands of people flock to visit and worship every day.
