On the evening of August 1st, the Da Nang International Ginseng Ngoc Linh and Medicinal Materials Festival 2026 took place in Da Nang with the theme "Gyseng Ngoc Linh - Quintessence of World Medicinal Materials". The event opened up a space for trade, product promotion and shaping new steps for Vietnam's medicinal material industry.
The festival takes place from August 1 to August 3 with many in-depth activities such as international trade connections, product displays, scientific conferences and the "Huong Vi Dai Nghan" culinary space.
Within the framework of the festival, the exhibition space for Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herbs organized by Da Nang City People's Committee has attracted the attention of a large number of people and tourists. With a scale of 80 booths, this space introduces a variety of products from Ngoc Linh ginseng, natural medicinal herbs and high-quality health care products.
Here, participating units and businesses not only display products but also directly advise and introduce planting, harvesting and deep processing processes. This activity helps consumers and tourists have access to official information about the origin, nutritional value as well as the development potential of precious medicinal herbs.
Mr. Ho Quang Buu - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee, Head of the Festival Organizing Committee - emphasized: "Ngoc Linh ginseng is a precious product, bringing great value in terms of economy, science and culture. However, sustainable development requires methodical and cautious steps.
According to Mr. Ho Quang Buu, the development of Ngoc Linh ginseng must always be associated with forest protection and ecological environment maintenance. In addition, expanding the consumption market must go hand in hand with strict quality control; improving the economic value of ginseng must be associated with improving and enhancing the lives of people in ginseng growing areas.
In order to support livelihoods and empower local people, within the framework of the opening ceremony, representatives of business associations directly donated ginseng seedlings to people in the Ngoc Linh ginseng growing area.
To realize the long-term vision, Da Nang city prioritizes preserving precious gene sources, creating favorable conditions to attract investment in research and deep processing of products from medicinal herbs. The city also orients the development of the medicinal herb industry associated with ecotourism and health tourism models, and at the same time strengthens international cooperation activities to gradually enhance the position of Ngoc Linh ginseng brand in the global market.
First organized in 2017 with the theme "Ngoc Linh Legend", after nearly a decade of annual maintenance, the festival has gradually affirmed its role as a rendezvous for ginseng growers, scientists, businesses and investors who are passionate about Vietnamese medicinal herbs.
