Sharing with reporters, artist Van Son said that in recent days, he has had problems with his eyes due to seasonal allergies in the US. April is the time when pollen is abundant, while the dense travel schedule between Europe and the US makes the body not have time to adapt, leading to irritation.
The time at the airport and on the plane was too long, and I lacked sleep, so my eyes itched continuously. I rubbed too much, so the inner part of my eyes was damaged, swollen inside, not outside," he said.
According to the male artist, after experiencing eye health problems, he went for an emergency examination and was prescribed small drops by the doctor, and the condition gradually improved. He also took the initiative to rest, limit overwork to help his eyes recover faster.
Despite the incident, artist Van Son affirmed that his overall health is still stable. "Apart from the eyes, I don't have any problems. I still feel energetic, still have enough energy to work," he shared.
At an age that is no longer young, maintaining health for artist Van Son has become a top priority, especially when his work schedule often requires long journeys. He said that he is always aware of balancing work and rest, avoiding letting his body fall into a state of overload.
Health is the foundation for me to work long-term. Just keeping that, I believe I can still continue to contribute," artist Van Son said.
Notably, this return to Vietnam is of special significance to the male artist. If previously, each trip back to the country was mainly associated with performance or exchange activities, this time he participates in a cinema project with a specific role, requiring high expertise.
According to artist Van Son, this change also makes his emotions clearly different. "I am both excited and cautious. Excited to work in a strongly developing domestic film environment. But at the same time there is also pressure, because audiences are very strict now, they demand high quality," he expressed.
The male artist sees this as a new milestone in his career journey. Participating in cinemas in Vietnam is not only an opportunity to try his hand, but also a way for him to connect more deeply with domestic audiences after many years of mainly operating abroad.
I see this as a'touch' again with the profession in a more serious direction. Everything must be carefully prepared, from the script to the character building. At any stage, the artist needs to refresh himself, and I want to take advantage of this opportunity to move forward," artist Van Son shared.
