The charming chorus of the two artists once created a deep impression in the hearts of the public for many years. However, according to Van Son's latest sharing with Lao Dong Newspaper, reuniting both in a film project at the present time is not easy at all.
Answering questions about still keeping in touch with Bao Liem and the possibility of inviting co-stars to Vietnam to film, Van Son frankly acknowledged that age and fitness are major barriers. "This year I am 65 years old, and Bao Liem is 5 years older than me, so he is 70 years old. Each person's most fulfilling time is over," he shared.
The male artist said that he himself accepted to return to Vietnam to participate in the movie project "Blood Moon Festival 8" recently because "the passion for the profession is still there", and there are still opportunities and suitable invitations. However, for Bao Liem, the current situation is different. "Anh Liem now lives quite comfortably, his health is still good, but flying back to Vietnam to make a movie for a whole month is very hard," Van Son said.
According to him, filmmaking is a job that requires very high labor intensity, not only passion but also a good physical foundation to keep up with the progress. Van Son cited his most recent experience when participating in a project: "Nearly 5 am I wake up, go to work until at least 6 pm, some days 8 pm, some days 11-12 pm, then the next morning 5 am I wake up again".

The continuous filming schedule for nearly a month really exhausted Van Son. "Working continuously for 26 days without rest, after filming I lost about 3-4 kg," the male artist revealed. With such intensity, according to him, not everyone can follow, especially at an age that is no longer energetic.
Therefore, when asked about the possibility of "pulling" Bao Liem back to the Vietnamese film set, Van Son said that this "is very unlikely to happen". He explained: "With that intensity, anyone who is not strong enough cannot do it. So if you ask if he will pull Mr. Liem back to make films, I think it is very difficult, because now he is used to living lightly, not just calling him and he can come back".
Van Son's real name is Duong Thanh Son, born in 1961. In the 1990s, he collaborated with Bao Liem and Hoai Linh, becoming popular comedians. Later, he established an entertainment center. In the 2000s, Van Son returned to Vietnam, often performing comedy, participating in game shows...
Currently, Van Son and Bao Liem no longer perform together. Both artists have their own paths. Instead, Van Son often updates his daily life on a fanpage with about 2 million followers and rarely works as an MC, acting with close colleagues.
In addition, Van Son also created a TikTok page to share his daily life with the audience. Over the past time, Van Son has also diligently made vlogs to reminisce about the early stages of his career.
