On October 17, in Tan Minh commune (Y Yen district, Nam Dinh province), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nam Dinh province held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to preserve, restore and embellish the National Historical and Cultural Relic Complex of Ngo Xa communal house - pagoda, Ne pagoda.
The relic complex of Ngo Xa communal house - pagoda and Ne pagoda are religious structures worshiping Buddha and village gods, marking many important historical events of the locality during the revolutionary resistance period.
The scale of investment in preserving, renovating and embellishing Ngo Xa communal house and pagoda includes the following items: Tam Bao, To house, Dai Dinh, front altar, bell tower, stele house, guest house, Tam Quan gate, ceremonial gate and technical and auxiliary infrastructure works.
The scale of investment in preserving, renovating and embellishing Ne Pagoda includes the following items: Tam Bao, Mau house, bell tower, stele house, guest house and technical and auxiliary infrastructure works.
Total investment of 60 billion VND from the central budget and Nam Dinh province.
Previously, Lao Dong Newspaper published an article reflecting on the serious deterioration of Ngo Xa communal house and pagoda. At Ngo Xa communal house, the system of pillars, rafters, beams, etc. in the communal house was corroded by termites. Long cracks appeared on the walls, posing a potential safety risk.
