In order to ensure feasibility, suitability, and effectiveness when implementing the research and proposal to deploy a walking street at 3/2 Square, Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh Province Mai Son has assigned the People's Committee of Bac Giang Ward to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, TH quintessence Media Company Limited and relevant agencies to research, advise, and propose; report to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee before November 12, 2025.
According to information from the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Ninh province, currently in the province, only 5 specialized streets have been formed combined with walking streets, namely Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Gia Thieu - Vu Kiet, Nguyen Cao, Ngoc Han Cong Chua streets in Kinh Bac and Vo Cuong wards; Dam Van Le street in Nam Son ward and a walking street in the center of Tu Son ward.
However, this type of commercial infrastructure usually only operates until no more than 10pm.
In particular, the night walking street is not operating regularly, and is held a few times a year in conjunction with major holidays.
Meanwhile, in the province, the system of karaoke service businesses and music venue is still dispersed with residential areas, not forming separate areas.
According to the trade - service planning orientation by 2030, Bac Ninh strives to form at least 3 key night-time economic spaces; develop 10 more specialized streets, increase the proportion of trade - services to 38 - 40% of the province's GRDP.
