In this morning's meeting, Ngan 98 confirmed that it had submitted all legal documents related to the weight loss products being promoted.
The documents include: product declaration certificate, production contract, test form, red invoice, production condition certificate and image lease contract between Nahaco Company Limited and Ngan 98. She said that the test results were all licensed by the center.
Ngan 98 also denied any involvement with ZUBU Trading and Service Company Limited, the unit suspected of being the manufacturer. She confirmed that this company had stopped operating 2 years ago.
She accused someone of using fake test results, impersonating users and deliberately sending floating sample to create misunderstandings about the product. Ngan 98 said that the authorities have received all the documents and recorded the information provided.
A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety said that on May 22, Vo Thi Ngoc Ngan (Ngan 98) went to this agency to work and provide information related to the incident of weight loss products suspected of being of poor quality, causing a stir on social networks. Currently, the unit is mainly in the process of inspection and verification, and has not yet reached a conclusion.
The incident involving DJ Ngan 98 started in mid-May, when social networks appeared to argue about a video between her and a seller named Ngan Collagen. The two sides have continuously publicly criticized each other on livestreams and social networks, accusing them of the quality of weight loss products and unfair competition.
Ngan 98's real name is Vo Thi Hong Ngan, born in 1998, from Binh Dinh. Since 2016, she has attracted attention on social networks with offensive photos and videos.
In 2019, Ngan 98 entered the DJ field. In 2020, DJ Ngan 98 was banned from performing for 4 months and fined 40 million VND for dressing offensively while performing at a bar in Hanoi.
