In the early morning of June 3, Microwave Soups - the unit in charge of artistic direction and setting design for Son Tung M-TP's MV "Come my way" - posted an apology letter to visual artist Le Giang.
This unit admitted to consulting the visual language from the work Vestige of the Land to include it in the MV without prior permission or discussion.
Microwave Soups takes full responsibility, and also said that they have proactively contacted Le Giang to apologize and are continuing to discuss to find a suitable solution. Microwave Soups also sent apologies to partners and related parties for the impacts of the incident.
At the same time, Antiantiart - the production and project coordination unit - admitted joint responsibility in the case. This unit said that it did not strictly control the context design stage of Microwave Soups and acknowledged shortcomings in the process of supervision and coordination of project implementation.

On June 2, the non-profit art organization Grapevine said that a setting in the MV "Come my way" has many similarities with the installation work "Tan chi" (Vestige of the Land) by visual artist Le Giang.
According to the female artist, the set evokes memories of her 2017 work through elements such as the architecture of the Northern village communal house, the limestone surface and reliefs, and broken details around the base of the pillar.
Previously, the scandal of Son Tung M-TP standing on Lac bird in the MV "Come my way" also attracted great attention from the audience.
Notably, the controversy surrounding the image of the Lac bird in "Come my way" has created a large-scale discussion across social media platforms.
Thanks to this, the MV quickly reached 23 million views after 5 days of release, becoming the focus of attention, helping to increase the level of interest in Son Tung M-TP.

Forbes magazine, USA even had an article praising the Thai Binh-born male singer and rapper Tyga for honoring Vietnamese culture through their new MV.
Before "Come my way", Son Tung M-TP was repeatedly involved in controversies related to plagiarism allegations, images in MVs or English pronunciation.
The noise did not reduce the male singer's appeal. On the contrary, he still maintained a loyal fan base and continued to consolidate his leading position in V-pop.
After all, the biggest beneficiary is still Son Tung M-TP as his appeal and spread are still increasing strongly.
