Gia Lai requests the organizing unit of the Chu Nam mountain exploration off-road race to report on the refund of money to athletes after the race is cancelled.

On June 3, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province said that it had requested Ecotrek Journeys Joint Stock Company (No. 80 Mac Dinh Chi Street, Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to report on the refund for athletes (athletes) participating in the 1st Chu Nam Mountain Exploration Off-road Running Tournament in 2025.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province, previously, Ecotrek Journeys Joint Stock Company had announced the temporary suspension of organizing the race and implemented a refund process for registered athletes. However, to date, many athletes have reflected that they have not received refunds according to the announcement of the organizing unit.

Therefore, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province requested the company to report on the refund for athletes, including a list of cases that have been refunded from March 5 to date; a list of non-refunded cases, stating the reasons and expected payment time.

At the same time, requesting Ecotrek Journeys Joint Stock Company to seriously implement and send a report to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province before June 10 for summarization and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee.

According to Mr. N.T. K. (representative of the group of 100 athletes in Gia Lai), the race will be registered from March 31, 2025 with 5 distances including 5km, 10km, 20km, 50km and 70km, with participation fees ranging from 455,000 VND to 1,715,000 VND.

Initially, the tournament was scheduled to be held in August 2025, then moved to December 12-13, 2025. However, on December 3, 2025 (9 days before the opening), the Organizing Committee suddenly announced the temporary suspension of the tournament.

According to Mr. K., the group still has more than 100 million VND of participation fees that have not been refunded. The Organizing Committee has repeatedly committed payment time, from March 2025, then moved to April (promising 25% refund), then continued to postpone to August 2025 and March 2026, but so far has not fulfilled the commitment.
