Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha has just signed and issued Plan No. 268/KH-UBND dated September 30 on adjusting and supplementing a number of tasks in Plan No. 157/KH-UBND dated June 6 of the City People's Committee on organizing "Thang Long Festival - Hanoi in 2025".
The program is expected to open at Thang Long Imperial Citadel and close at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, taking place from October 31 to November 9.
In the new adjustment, the city decided to temporarily suspend the organization of the 2025 Red River International Music Festival and the Knitting Festival - Connecting Heritage to avoid overlap, ensuring the highest quality for the program. The art program "Eternal Moments", held on November 8 at the Hanoi Museum, is expected to invite Swiss composer Dominique Barthassat to perform with Hanoi's creative community groups.
Hanoi puppetry festival expands, held on November 8 at the Ba Kieu Temple flower garden area.
The series of activities "Heritage convergence" at the Temple of Literature - Quoc Tu Giam, including traditional and contemporary music performances; space to display traditional craft village products of the three capitals (Thang Long, Hue, Hoa Lu) and the Central Highlands provinces; introduce Hanoi flavor culinary culture; experience handicrafts - creative design.

The Department of Culture and Sports is responsible for advising the Invitation letter of the City People's Committee to send to a number of domestic and international localities to attend; ensuring the full payment of food, accommodation, travel, transportation, and unloading of equipment and props for the performance for the delegations of the Korean and Chinese Embassies during the Festival in Hanoi.
The People's Committees of Hoan Kiem, Cua Nam, Ba Dinh, Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam, Tu Liem wards coordinated with the departments of Culture and Sports, Construction, Health, City Police, City Power Corporation and related units to fully prepare the necessary conditions to serve the program.
The People's Committees of Viet Hung, Ba Dinh, Hoang Mai, Long Bien, Phu Xuyen, Thanh Liet, Dong Anh, Gia Lam, Duong Hoa, O Dien, Thu Lam, Thach That, My Duc wards will base on the plan, the directives of the City People's Committee and practical conditions to develop a plan for heritage performances; organize propaganda and visual encouragement on local media so that people know and respond to participate.
