On March 24, news from Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that there is a plan to implement the Strategy for developing Vietnamese cultural industries to 2030, with a vision to 2045 in the province, with many specific goals to promote socio-economic development through unique cultural values.
According to the plan, by 2030, cultural industries are expected to make significant contributions to the province's GRDP.
Notably, Khanh Hoa aims to form 3 to 5 unique cultural products and brands of national and international stature.
At the same time, the province will build at least one creative space and a cultural industrial complex with its own brand, contributing to positioning the local image on the creative map.
Along with that, Khanh Hoa aims to become a destination for large-scale, national and international cultural, artistic and marine entertainment events.
Modern investment, exploiting unique and distinctive values associated with building local product brands is identified as a key task.
In the field of digital transformation, the province sets a goal to strongly promote digital culture, creative services and innovative businesses; striving for 100% of key cultural sectors to have products and services applying digital technology.
Regarding specific targets, the performing arts sector is expected to achieve revenue of about 8 billion VND/year (including budget revenue and revenue from event organizing businesses).
Revenue from television and radio activities and Khanh Hoa Newspaper strives to reach about 4.9 billion VND.
In addition, the growth rate of export value of cultural industries such as handicrafts is expected to reach an average of 7%/year. Cultural tourism revenue is expected to account for about 10% of total revenue from tourists.
In the field of radio and television, the revenue of relevant agencies and services is targeted to reach 99 billion VND.
The publication rate (including books, materials, propaganda leaflets) strives to reach 3 copies/person.
In addition, the province also orients the development of fields such as cinema, fine arts, photography and exhibition, software and entertainment games, creative design to become important service economic sectors, effectively contributing to overall growth.
