Recently, the 2024 APAN Star Awards Korean Drama Awards were held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul.
APAN is Korea's only integrated drama awards ceremony, honoring content from all platforms, including 3 public broadcasting networks (KBS, MBC, SBS), cable channels, OTT (online platforms), and web dramas.
Korean dramas airing from November 2023 to October 2024 are eligible for this year's awards.
Kim Tae Ri won the Daesang (Grand Prize) for her role in the drama “Jeongnyeon: The Star is Born”. The drama also won Best Drama.
Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook defeated many strong competitors such as Kim Soo Hyun and Ji Sung to win the Best Actor - Medium Length Film category, for his role in "Welcome to Samdalri".
Similarly, Honey Lee surpassed many potential faces such as Jang Na Ra and Kim Ji Won to win the Best Actress award - medium length film, for her role in "Knight Flower".
"Beauty and Mr. Romantic" stars Ji Hyun Woo and Im Soo Hyang won Best Actor and Actress - Drama Series.
"Lovely Runner" stars Byeon Woo Seok and Kim Hye Yoon won the Popularity Award, also taking home the Best Couple award.
Additionally, Byeon Woo Seok won the Global Star Award this year, while his band "Lovely Runner" Eclipse won the Best Original Soundtrack (OST) award for their hit song "Sudden Shower."
