According to Allkpop, on April 4, the Seoul Central District Court issued a verdict on the lawsuit related to the confirmation of no debt, filed by Hook Entertainment (later renamed Chorokbaement Entertainment) against Lee Seung Gi. Only lawyers from both sides attended the hearing.
The court ruled, "Chorokbaement Entertainment must pay singer and actor Lee Seung Gi 581,470,000 won (about 10.3 billion VND)" and "all requests for additional compensation and refunds from Chorokbaement Entertainment have been rejected". The costs of the lawsuit were ordered to be divided equally between the plaintiff and the defendant.
Previously, Lee Seung Gi filed a lawsuit against former Hook Entertainment CEO Kwon Jin Yeong and other executives, claiming that he had not received a fair profit for 18 years, from 137 songs released since joining Hook Entertainment in 2004.
Lee Seung Gi filed a lawsuit against his former company for breach of trust and fraud. In response, Hook Entertainment paid Lee Seung Gi a total of 5.4 billion won (about VND 96.1 billion), including 1.3 billion won in previous basic remuneration, 2.9 billion won in unpaid fees and 1.2 billion won in late payment interest.
However, Hook later filed a lawsuit to confirm the debt did not exist, claiming to have paid Lee Seung Gi 4.1 billion won more.
Lee Seung Gi's side argued, saying that total music revenue was about 9.6 billion won, suggesting that the deal was not yet finalized. Lee Seung Gi also attended the live trial on November 15, 2023, expressing his disappointment in the case.
The actor said: "As we were about to end the trial, there were many untrue documents submitted. I hope the court will ensure that young artists can pursue their dreams without having to suffer unfair deals.
The sentencing date for the lawsuit was originally set for January 17, but was overturned and the debate resumed on March 7, delaying the sentencing.
In addition, during the litigation process, Hook Entertainment changed its name to Chorokbaement Entertainment. The renaming comes after their parent company was acquired by private joint stock company Q Capital Partners, marking the start of a major restructuring effort to improve operations.
Chorokbaement Entertainment has reformed its management team, including replacing the executive board, to maximize the consolidation of business sectors and increase growth potential.

In April 2023, Lee Seung Gi married actress Lee Da In. The two held a lavish under house party at the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas hotel, with an investment cost of over 100 million won.
Last December, Lee Seung Gi returned to the big screen with the main role in the movie About Family. In addition, he participated in many TV shows as an MC and player such as "Strong Heart League", "Brother Ramyeon", "King of Survival: Tribal wars", "Starlight Boys"...
Currently, Lee Seung Gi has not confirmed a new project.
