On February 10 (local time), the premiere of season 3 of the HBO series “The White Lotus” was held at the Paramount Theater in Los Angeles, California (USA).
Director and screenwriter Mike White and the film's cast attended the event. Most of the main actors were present, such as Leslie Bibb, Natasha Rothwell, Parker Posey, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs...
In particular, female singer Lisa of Blackpink group became the center of attention when she dressed up outstandingly.
On the red carpet of her first event marking her debut as an actress, Lisa chose a customized couture gown by Korean brand Miss Sohee. The original design was blue and purple, but was changed to white and gold, with elaborate beading details.
The media praised Lisa's intention, because this custom-made costume evokes lotus flowers, which is very suitable for the style of the red carpet backdrop, and also reminds the audience of her character setting in "The White Lotus 3".
Furthermore, Lisa impressed when choosing a hand-held accessory, a golden lotus flower, specially crafted by a Thai designer.
In an interview with Variety, the Blackpink rapper shared about the great working environment of “The White Lotus”. She said: “This is my first time experiencing acting, so I didn’t know what to expect on set. But everyone supported and helped me a lot. So thank you everyone.”
Recalling the difficult first day of filming, Lisa confided: “I was so nervous. I was sweating. All I could think about was: I can’t remember my lines. I was completely disoriented.”
But she quickly overcame the barriers to integrate into the film crew. Behind the scenes, Lisa took the initiative to share her music with her co-stars, even playing them the song "Rockstar" before it was released to the public.
Currently, Lisa has no film projects planned after “The White Lotus 3”. When asked about the film genre she wants to try the most, Lisa said she wants to act in an action film.
"The White Lotus" is a comedy-satire series with interwoven stories set at the luxurious White Lotus Hotel. After the first two successful seasons filmed in the US and Italy, season 3 has shifted to Thailand, which is also Lisa's homeland.
The first episode of “The White Lotus 3” will air on the evening of February 16 (US time) on HBO and the online service HBO Max.
