Familiar names
This year’s Valentine’s music race has many familiar faces. Duc Phuc is a singer who has been releasing love songs on this holiday for the past few years. This year, he released the song “Cham em mot doi” (Take care of me for life), in collaboration with TikToker Le Tuan Khang.
“Cham em mot doi” is not only a music video but also a meaningful love story. The MV conveys a message about true love, respect for one’s partner and the sacred meaning of the moment of proposal.
The MV takes the audience on a journey to discover three love stories through the perspectives of three different girls. For Duc Phuc, that sacred moment of proposal is a sublime, memorable moment in each person's beautiful journey of love and marriage.
Before Duc Phuc, Erik officially returned with the MV "Even if the end of the world (Still love you)". The MV opens with a wedding scene, where Erik appears in a formal suit. He holds the bride's hand (Miss Tieu Vy) and takes her out of the ceremony with the groom Quoc Anh, surprising the guests. The MV's plot revolves around the relationship between the characters in the context of a disaster, expressing the inner conflict between happiness and pain. However, in the end, it's all just Erik's imagination. The end of the MV reveals another female character (Miss Thuy Tien) accompanying him, leaving many speculations for the audience.
The song with emotional lyrics and familiar ballad melody has touched the emotions of many listeners. Just a few hours after its release, the MV rose to the Top 1 Trending position on YouTube Vietnam, marking Erik's remarkable return after two years. The MV received many positive responses from the audience and is the top choice for them to listen to this Valentine's Day.
Joining the Valentine music race, two ballad singers Trung Quan Idol and Bui Anh Tuan collaborated in the Extended Play (EP) “I Do”, using music and art to send warm and sweet messages to women and couples out there. The EP “I Do” marks the return of Bui Anh Tuan.
Not only are the old faces competing, some new singers or those who have been active for many years but have not really stood out also join the race such as the MV "Ta ve tuong lai" by Linh Huong Luz, "Le cuoi trong mo" by Doan Minh Quan or Hoang My An with "Wanna hear you say" in collaboration with K-Pop idol Samuel...
Attracting audiences with different elements
To increase the appeal of music products and highlight the Valentine's atmosphere, artists all choose their own ways to promote their products.
In particular, Duc Phuc's collaboration with million-view Tiktoker Le Tuan Khang created a strong effect on the audience. The clip of Tuan Khang driving a motorbike to take Duc Phuc to a memorial service on the island was widely shared. This not only caught the trend well but also attracted great attention from young audiences.
Meanwhile, Erik also attracted audiences by designing wedding invitations to send to fans to increase the spread of the product.
Even as funny as Bui Anh Tuan and Trung Quan, they played the role of bride and groom to promote the EP “I Do”. Previously, in Trung Quan’s concert, he dressed as a bride next to the groom Bui Anh Tuan. That performance was a hit, so this time Trung Quan continued to seize this opportunity to once again make the audience talk.
As for Hoang My An, the collaboration with the K-Pop idol is a somewhat risky but also ambitious move. Samuel has a large number of young fans in Korea, China and many Southeast Asian countries. Combining with Samuel, Hoang My An's products will have a large number of views from the male singer's audience.
