"Afterlife is still Vietnamese" - a special song released with the collaboration of 4 singers including Quoc Thien, Duong Hoang Yen, Quan A.P, Lam Bao Ngoc, and a special voice contribution by People's Artist Thu Huyen.
Director Tran Thanh Trung said, "The future is still Vietnamese" is a music video in the "Viet Nam Love" Community Art Project.
This is a composition by musician Tuan Cry, with music production from Nguyen Hai Phong and LongX.
When it was released on the evening of August 7, the MV faced many criticisms from the audience. In particular, many details related to the history and scenes of people during the COVID-19 epidemic and floods made by AI are considered unreasonable, even historically distorted.
Regarding this issue, the crew representative spoke up, saying that they would accept all comments from the audience to make appropriate adjustments.
The crew also added that this is a metaphorical MV, not a recreation of historical documents.
"This is an MV made in a suggestive, metaphorical art style. The story tells the journey of the emotional museum in a river festival, where each person finds the pride of Vietnamese culture and history. The MV was inspired by the historical flow and the spirit of unity throughout the Vietnamese people - from the past to the present, from hardship to strong growth" - director Tran Thanh Trung said.
When deciding to make the MV, the crew affirmed that they had anticipated the controversies. In addition, the crew also said that they had consulted many experts, departments and branches before making this MV.
Co-director Pham Vinh Khuong said: "When implementing the product, we received advice from experts. However, we are always receptive and listen to all contributions. Applying AI in artistic products, we want to bring the best and above all, want to affirm that what the world has, Vietnam will have. Because we always learn and progress in the spirit of asking for help".
The production team further emphasized: "We always listen to contributions from the audience, so we are sure that wherever we are wrong, we will have to make the most complete corrections. Going and studying at the same time is the way we improve ourselves".
The crew will edit some details in the MV to match and have an official announcement to the audience.
