Nghe An brings Nghe An and Vi Giam eel to the International Food Festival

Nghe An - The province participated in the International Food Festival "Hue - Food Capital" with many activities to promote typical culinary and cultural activities of Nghe An.

The festival takes place over 4 days, from December 18 to December 21, 2025 at Truong Bac Park, Hue City. This is one of the important highlights in the series of activities to close the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere for the year-end holiday season in the Ancient Capital.

Participating in the event, Nghe An organized a display of tourism publications, introducing typical local specialties and OCOP products; and promoted Nghe An eel cuisine - a dish associated with the life and culinary culture of the North Central region.

In addition, Vi Giam folk songs were performed, bringing a space of interweaving the cultural identity of Nghe An.

This year's "Hue - Capital of Cuisine" International Food Festival brings together more than 50 food stalls from many provinces and cities across the country, bringing the public and tourists a rich experience of Hue cuisine and regional cuisine.

The main activities include performances, exhibitions and introductions of cuisine with many special dishes such as rolls, shrimp cakes, snail noodles, rice Lam, grilled chicken, silkworm meat, celery, regional salad, Binh Dinh mixed vegetables, Nghe An eel, vermicelli with tofu, shrimp paste, Quang noodles; along with a system of Hue cakes such as pressed cakes, filter cakes, nam cake, banh it, vegetarian cakes.

The dishes are prepared by a team of chefs from Hanoi, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang, Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Hue.

In addition, the Festival also introduced many typical OCOP products of the region such as Hao Nhan bad chicken eggs, Phu Sa coconut cinnamon cakes, Quy Thu grilled coconut cakes, Hiep Duc tofu candy, products from Bo Chinh ginseng plant, and many dishes from reputable restaurants and hotels in Hue City.

The event was directed by the People's Committee of Hue City, the Department of Tourism of Hue City in coordination with the Tourism Development Support Fund under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Through the Festival, the Organizing Committee hopes to honor the cultural and culinary values of Vietnam, promote the image of Hue as an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists; at the same time, create conditions for localities, including Nghe An, to promote tourism promotion, spread the quintessence of regional culinary culture.
