Sharing about his current life views, artist Thanh Loc said: "I have stopped competing with life for a long time, probably more than 20 years now". According to him, fame is inherently something that is easily changed and sometimes very fragile, especially in the era of strong social network development.
At one point I realized that fame is very frivolous. Today people praise me, but tomorrow they may turn to attack me. Especially when social networks develop, everything becomes much more fragile," the male artist shared.
According to Meritorious Artist Thanh Loc, social networks help artists get closer to the public, but at the same time also bring no small amount of pressure. There are relationships that seem close, but sometimes just one sentence being cut out of context can create controversy.
The male artist said that there was a period when he felt shocked when his personal statements or opinions were interpreted in a different direction on social networks. Even, some peoplefriended him on Facebook just to take pictures of his words and then share them in a negative direction.
I was also shocked. But then, I thought, it's also a lesson about how to be human and how we see things in life," he said.
According to him, the development of social networks makes it easy for people to attack each other with just a few short status lines.
Sometimes I feel that life is very fierce now. People can attack each other very easily on social networks without understanding the whole story behind it," the male artist expressed.
In the end, art is what helps him maintain balance and faith in life.
For male artists, art is not only a profession but also a place to help people find empathy amidst the chaos of life.
Art helps me understand that no matter how chaotic life is, people still need empathy and sharing with each other," he shared.
For many years, artist Thanh Loc has been considered one of the artists with a special influence on the Vietnamese stage. Not only is he marked by his diverse acting ability, he is also loved by audiences for his straightforwardness and contemplative perspective on both his profession and life.
At the age of over 60, the male artist chooses a gentler lifestyle with fame. Instead of chasing attention or debates on social networks, what he cares more about is to continue working, to stand on stage and maintain his love for art after many years of attachment.
