The Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the 3rd Da Nang Asian Film Festival took place on the evening of July 5 with works and artists from Vietnam and Asia honored in important award categories.
Also attending were Mr. Mai Van Chinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Mr. Le Hai Binh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ms. Dinh Thi Mai - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.
In her closing speech, Ms. Ngo Phuong Lan - President of the Vietnam Cinema Development Promotion Association said that what took place at DANAFF III showed the development in terms of scale, program content and professional quality.
The total number of films shown in DANAFF III is up to 106; the number of screenings is up to 200; a film program has just been opened, "Asian Cinema Panorama". And in addition to the award categories that were present in the previous two seasons, for the first time the festival has the Critics' Award for Outstanding Asian Film in the program "Asian Cinema Overview".
In particular, DANAFF III has released 11 Asian films and many Vietnamese films for the first time, affirming the prestige of the festival when filmmakers chose to entrust their newborn child," said Ms. Lan.
At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the Critic Award for Asian films in the program "Asian Cinema Panorama", awarded to the Sunday Film.
The Audience Award for Most Favorite Vietnamese Film voted by the audience for the work: De Men animated film
The NETPAC (Asian Film Encouragement Network) Award for Outstanding Vietnamese Film Award was given to the film Chi Dau.
When his name was named in the Best Director category, director Victor Vu sent his sincere thanks to the Jury for this recognition.
He also took the time to express his deep gratitude to the entire film crew of "Detective Kien: Ky an Khong Dau" for the wonderful colleagues who accompanied him throughout the filming process, creating many special memories.
According to Victor Vu, stories about culture and people are always a great source of inspiration, a valuable material that helps him nurture his passion and creativity, becoming a strong motivation to put everything into films with the heart of the profession.

Speaking after receiving the Best Vietnamese Film award, director Khuong Ngoc emotionally shared with the film Chi Dau: This is a great honor, a special gift for Khuong Ngoc and the entire film crew of Chi Dau.
Right from the start of filming, Ngoc told the crew that her goal was to make a film that was both artistic and entertaining. And today, we have really done it."
