"Yadang: The Snitch" directed by Hwang Byeong Gug. The film exploits the character "yadang" - a Korean term used to refer to those who score professionally, providing information about drug dealers to police or law enforcement agencies.
In which, the 3 main characters are Lee Kang Su (Kang Ha Neul) - "yadang" famous in the Korean drug world; Koo Kwan Hee (Yoo Hae Jin) - a prosecutor trying to advance with confidential information from "yadang" and Oh Sang Jae (Park Hae Joon) - a police officer determined to suppress drug crimes.
In addition to taking "yadang" as the main character, the work is highly appreciated for its victims of brutal realism. Some also commented that the film is a drug world version of " inside Men".
Previously, director Hwang Byeong Gug repeatedly emphasized the film's urgent sociability and message.
"A few years ago, about 16,000 drug criminals were arrested every year. Now that number has risen to 23,000, and in cases that have not been reported, the actual figure could be 20 times higher.
I want this film to be not only entertaining but also raise awareness of the serious dangers of drug crimes in society".
In Vietnam, the film "Yadang: Three Faces of an Incredible trend" will officially premiere on May 16.
