This information was released at a working session on March 16, between Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong and Director of the Cinema Department Dang Tran Cuong, Deputy Director of the Cinema Department Do Quoc Viet, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom) Hoang Viet Anh.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong assessed that after the implementation of the revised Cinema Law, state management in the field of cinema has had many positive changes, especially in expanding the management scope to cyberspace.
However, reality also poses many new challenges, especially in controlling, statistically analyzing, classifying films and evaluating the market for popular films in cyberspace - a field that still lacks accurate and reliable data sources.
In that context, cooperation with technology businesses and service providers is considered a necessary direction.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong wishes to build a basic database system on the film sector, including specific information on viewership, online film revenue, as well as monthly or quarterly release indexes.
This will be an important data source, helping management agencies have accurate bases for management and policy planning, while overcoming the situation of dependence on unverified statistical sources in the market.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Telecom Joint Stock Company (FPT Telecom) Hoang Viet Anh said that the unit has proactively researched and developed AI application tools to support more stringent content control on digital platforms. These tools have the ability to identify and detect early images and messages showing signs of violating Vietnamese law, thereby contributing to improving the efficiency of management, censorship and ensuring a healthy content environment in cyberspace.
In addition, this system also allows real-time viewer data monitoring, helping to provide accurate indicators of views and content trends. This is considered an important basis for the two sides to coordinate in building a common data system, serving state management in the field of cinema in the digital environment.
At the working session, delegates also exchanged and discussed in depth the difficulties and obstacles in the practical implementation process; shared experiences in managing and inspecting film content, and classifying popular films in cyberspace.
Promoting digitalization not only helps improve management efficiency but also contributes to reducing administrative procedures for businesses, towards a healthy and sustainable development environment for the film industry in the digital age" - Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong emphasized.
