On the occasion of New Year 2026, Ho Chi Minh City is bustling with a series of large-scale cultural, entertainment and tourism programs, serving people and tourists in the first days of the new year.
Many familiar destinations such as Saigon Zoo, Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area, Cu Chi terrain and public spaces in the city center simultaneously organize experiential activities, ticket incentives and community events.
Saigon Zoo (Saigon Ward) will organize the International Cultural Week program - Welcoming the New Year 2026.
Within the framework of the festival, visitors can participate in a series of rich activities such as international handicraft - art workshops, traditional cultural performances, international culinary spaces and community exchange activities for families, young people and international visitors. The festival has a scale of more than 80 food and culture - arts booths.
A representative of Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens said that the program aims to build a healthy and close international cultural exchange space, contributing to promoting the image of Vietnam as friendly, dynamic and creative in the eyes of international friends. At the same time, it arouses the respect for traditional cultural values.
The festival takes place from December 30, 2025 to January 4, 2026, with free admission to the festival area from 5pm to 9pm every day.
Also on the occasion of New Year 2026, Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area (Tang Nhon Phu Ward) opened an entertainment festival with many incentives for tourists and reduced ticket prices.
In addition to entertainment activities, cultural and historical tourism products at night with the Moon War Zone tour at the Cu Chi Geodegonal Historical Site (An Nhon Tay commune), held on the evening of January 1, 2026. The tour takes visitors back to the space of the nation's heroic struggle during the resistance war against the US.
On this occasion, the relic site will launch a ticket promotion program for agencies, units, schools, mass organizations and family groups to register in large groups.
Notably, Ho Chi Minh City will organize 0:00 - 0:15 artistic fireworks displays on January 1, 2026 at 4 locations. The 3 high-altitude fireworks display locations include the Saigon River tunnelhead (An Khanh Ward), the new city center (Binh Duong Ward) and Tam Thang Square (Vung Tau Ward). A low-altitude fireworks display is located at Dam Sen Cultural Park.
The highlight of the series of cultural activities is the countdown program to welcome the new year 2026 taking place on the night of December 31, 2025 at Nguyen Hue walking street. The space is expected to expand to Le Loi Street, Lam Son Park and the area in front of the City Theater.
In Vung Tau ward, the city organizes a series of events such as the 2025 Sunrise Waves with many community activities such as the sunrise race, morning yoga performance and evening art program at Tam Thang Tower Square.
At the same time, the Cultural - Culinary Festival will be held in Bai Sau from December 27, 2025 to January 1, 2026, contributing to diversifying the travel experience at the beginning of the new year.
