On August 22, the Organizing Committee for the celebration of major holidays in Ho Chi Minh City opened a photo exhibition with the theme "From the era of independence, national reunification to the era of national growth" at the Revolutionary Traditional House (No. 1 Ba Cu, Vung Tau Ward).
The exhibition is held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The exhibition displayed hundreds of valuable images and documents about the August 1945 General Uprising; the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam; the great victories in the two resistance wars against colonialism and imperialism, as well as the construction and defense of the Fatherland from 1975 to present. The highlight is the photo collections introducing achievements in all fields of economy, culture, society, national defense, foreign affairs... in recent decades.
At the same time, the exhibition activities also have many spaces to introduce the themes "Cultural Colors - Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City" and "Ho Chi Minh City is confident towards the new era", with works of photo vividly expressing the natural beauty, historical relics, cultural - artistic architecture, modern life of Ho Chi Minh City, which is rising to become a dynamic super city, a commercial center, a tourism center of the whole country and the region.

According to Mr. Le Van Minh - Deputy Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the exhibition program is not only a political and cultural activity of profound significance to review the glorious revolutionary tradition of the nation, but also affirms the great achievements of the country in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular after 50 years of liberation, towards the aspiration for prosperous and happy development in the new era.
Previously, on August 19, the exhibition opened in some places in Ho Chi Minh City with nearly 200 photo works, attracting a large number of people and tourists to visit. In Vung Tau, the exhibition will take place until September 5 to serve people and tourists.
