The global forum affirms the central role of culture
From September 29 to October 1, 2025, in Barcelona (Spain), the World Conference on Sustainable Development and Cultural Policy (MONDIACULT 2025) will take place chaired by UNESCO.
MONDIACULT 2025 is one of the most important forums in the world on culture, affirming culture as a direct contribution to the process of healing the wounds of war and conflict in the world, protecting, preserving and promoting precious spiritual assets and cultural heritages of humanity for future generations.

The central message of the Conference is "There is no future without culture". MONDIACULT 2025 affirms that culture is a basic human right, a global public commodity and an indispensable pillar to build a fair, peaceful, inclusive and sustainable society.
In particular, the Ministers of Culture of the countries attending the Conference also called for culture to become an independent goal (stand-alone goal) in the United Nations development framework after 2030, instead of just an integrated factor as before.
