In the eastern area of Dak Lak province (under the old Phu Yen province), floodwaters have receded but are still high, many places are still deeply flooded, traffic is cut off. The Military Region 5 force continues to mobilize vehicles, including special vehicles, to move into areas with limited access, supporting people to overcome the consequences of floods.
In the morning, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 5, directly directed the forces performing tasks in remote communes. The working groups used water swings, canoes and specialized equipment to transport necessities and move people out of the danger zone.
The heavy rain lasting from November 15 to 20 caused a particularly large flood in the eastern area of Dak Lak province (the old Phu Yen province). The water on the Ba, Ky Lo, and Ban Thach rivers all reached and exceeded historical flood levels, causing deep flooding in 34 communes, wards, and many areas in the West. Floods caused widespread power outages, 52% of telecommunication stations were out of contact; 424 schools were flooded; many health stations were isolated. Thousands of hectares of crops were damaged, tens of thousands of livestock and poultry were swept away; many traffic and irrigation works were destroyed.

Military Region 5 and the armed forces have mobilized more than 12,000 officers and soldiers along with hundreds of vehicles, and evacuated more than 18,400 people to safety. Forces continue to clear access to isolated areas, prioritizing the transportation of food, medicine and clean water to people.
Despite implementing the highest rescue plan, some points are still inaccessible due to strong water flows. Forces are waiting for the water to recede further to continue to bring specialized vehicles deeper, ensuring that people do not lack support.
