The appeal of indigenous culture
"Bac Ninh always values love. The sports hat I wait for in the communal house yard" is the opening line in the song "Bac Bling" which has been widely shared in recent days. After only 1 day, this MV reached more than 3 million views, reaching No. 1 on YouTube Trending. Hoa Minzy chose to combine traditional music with modern breath, the lyrics mentioning folk songs, betel auction customs, and beautiful natural landscapes of Bac Ninh province.
The scenes in the MV were taken at the Do Temple Special National Monument, Dau Pagoda Special National Monument, Ba Chua Kho Temple, Phu Lang Ceramic Village with the support of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province and 300 people in Lac Xa, Bac Ninh.
Over the years, a series of famous landscapes of Vietnam have become a source of inspiration in the music products of young singers. These include the project "Tay Bac va em" by champion Sao Mai 2017 My Lam with 3 MVs "Tay Bac dung nhap trang", "Thanh xuan ban mai", "Co em luon cho anh" recreating the beauty of the Northwest highlands; MV "Hoa dong phi anh" by K-ICM and Van Mai Huong filmed at the beautiful landscape of Ninh Binh; MV "Tuyut nhat Da Nang" by singer and musician Only C, pointing through a series of symbols of Da Nang such as Han River, Dragon Bridge, My Khe Sea, Son Tra Peninsula, Ba Na Hills...
Thanks to the effects of music videos, young audiences are inspired to "carry backwards" to explore the beautiful landscapes of the country, contributing to the growth of local tourism.
In addition to music projects, famous TV shows such as Call Me by Fire, Sister Who Makes Wave also revive the love of folk music among young people. A series of songs that seem unfamiliar to young people such as "Dao Lieu", "Mua den pho Hue", "Nghe la oi", "Gian ma thuong" ... are put on a modern, catchy new shirt, in line with modern trends. Many unique performances with strong folk culture have attracted millions of views.
Music becomes a cultural ambassador
Not only domestic artists, the image of the country and Vietnamese people have attracted the attention of many international artists. Singer Joseph Kwon (Korea) once included the image of 19 famous landmarks of Vietnam in the music video Waiting for you- 5,000 years. The production team has traveled to 19 provinces and cities to film famous locations such as Cuc Phuong National Forest, Trang An, Tam Chuc, Mui Ne... With a love for Vietnamese culture, Joseph Kwon has composed many songs such as "Go Vietnam Go Go Go", " Cha ca hay Peace", "You are in my heart" released in 3 languages: Vietnamese, Korean, English.
Billion-view DJ Alan Walker also filmed the MV " alone Pt.II" in Son Doong and the beautiful scenery of Quang Binh. The MV has reached 425 million views worldwide after 5 years of release. Nearly 3 minutes of filming the beautiful Son Doong scene appearing in this MV made international audiences give many compliments and curiosities about the long-standing natural wonder in Vietnam.
In 2019, the song "We Must Love" by ONF group was set in the Thuy Tien Lake tourist area, surprising Vietnamese audiences, because this eco-zone was built in 2004 but has stopped operating. In 2018, Vietnamese audiences could not help but be proud when the Momoland group wore Ao Dai and conical hats from Vietnam as a typical image alongside traditional costumes from other countries.
As People's Artist Tu Long once shared in Call Me by Fire: "I really like what belongs to the nation, we keep it, then develop it, the style of the method and finally the sublimation". Search for a creative source from the place where you live, from the inherent beauty to see more love for your homeland.
Products exploiting culture and tourism that are well invested and carefully researched will create quality projects, both lyrically and lyrically, and beautifully visual, arousing people's pride in cultural heritages and beautiful landscapes on the S-shaped land.
