TinAI Campaign? - A nationwide community communication campaign to raise awareness, verify information and prevent and combat fake news and false information.

On the morning of July 31, at Phenikaa University (Hanoi), the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, Ministry of Public Security organized the Launching Ceremony of the TinAI? - Pre-verification, post-verification campaign, and launched the news bulletin "Real - Fake, Verified" in coordination with the News Department of Vietnam Television.

The campaign is implemented with the message "Check news before news", aiming to build a new reflex in the community: before trusting, before sharing or making decisions from information online, each person needs to spend time verifying the source of information, context and authenticity of the content.

Speaking at the event, Director of the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05) - Lieutenant General Le Xuan Minh - affirmed that artificial intelligence (AI) is creating a strong change in the way humans create, access and spread information. Never before has the creation of a photo/video, a voice or a story with persuasive power been as quick and easy as it is now.

AI opens up great opportunities for socio-economic development, innovation and improving the quality of life. But along with that are new challenges for the information environment. What we are facing is not only the increase in fake news or misleading content. What is more concerning is that the boundary between truth and falsehood is becoming increasingly fragile" - Lieutenant General Le Xuan Minh said.

False information, if widely spread, can damage the reputation of individuals, businesses and agencies, organizations, cause confusion in society, and affect security, order and sustainable development of the country.

The most fundamental solution is to build a verification culture in the community, so that every citizen when accessing information has the habit of checking information sources, comparing data and considering before believing, sharing and acting.

It is not just a digital skill but is becoming an essential citizen capacity in the AI era," Lieutenant General Le Xuan Minh affirmed.

Director of Department A05 of the Ministry of Public Security expects the TinAI Campaign to form a widespread network of companions, with the participation of state management agencies, press agencies, technology businesses, digital platforms, social organizations, content creators and each citizen.

Also within the framework of the event, a seminar with the theme "Building verification reflexes in the AI era" took place.

The seminar raised a perspective on the challenges posed by AI to the information environment, and the responsibilities of parties in building a transparent and reliable information ecosystem.

Opinions at the seminar all agreed that, in the AI era, the fight against fake news is not only the task of management agencies or press organizations but requires the participation of the whole society.

Each Internet user can become a "gatekeeper" of information if they develop the habit of verifying before sharing.

Also at the program, the Organizing Committee officially launched a series of activities to respond to the TinAI Campaign nationwide.

One of the highlights of the campaign is the mobilization of a network of content creators, organizations, and communities to participate in spreading the message "Check before news", contributing to building a safe, transparent and reliable digital information environment.
