The first Red Brick and Pottery Festival - Green Economy of Vinh Long province in 2024 has the theme "Reunion by the Co Chien River", namely Mang Thit traditional brick and pottery craft village with an age of more than 100 years on the gentle Co Chien River.
One of the highlights of the Festival is the reenactment of activities on the wharf and under the boat - the cultural space typical of the craft village and cultural and artistic activities - Brick and pottery production village at Thay Cai canal.
According to the reporter's observation, on the cool green canal, women row boats carrying agricultural products, fishing tools during the flood season, and craft materials... The boats and sampans bustlingly exchange and buy and sell goods, making the canal in the peaceful countryside bustling.
In particular, girls in traditional Vietnamese costumes and scarves sitting on the boat sing traditional folk songs expressing the thoughts and feelings of the people in the river delta region.
