Located in My Loc commune (former My Loc district, now Nam Dinh City, Nam Dinh Province), Dinh and Mieu Cao Dai worship Lieutenant General Thai Su Chieu Minh Dai Vuong Tran Quang Khai and his wife, Princess Phung Duong. In the Tran dynasty (13th - 14th century), this area was independent Thai, the place of living of the Thai monk's family, a military base to protect Thien Truong palace in the resistance war against Mong - Nguyen invaders.
After the Grand Tutor General Chieu Minh Emperor Tran Quang Khai and Principess Phung Duong passed away, the people built Cao Dai communal house to commemorate the merits of his wife and son on the previous village land.


According to historical records displayed at Cao Dai communal house, the communal house was built during the Later Le Dynasty, in the 17th century. Initially, the ancient communal house only had a central and back palace, called the Great King Temple. During the Nguyen Dynasty, an additional 5-room and 2-room front hall was built called the Cao Dai communal house.
With typical cultural, historical, archaeological, and architectural values, in 1964, Cao Dai communal house and festival were ranked as national historical - cultural relics.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ma - The head of the Cao Dai communal house said that over the centuries, the ancient communal house has been degraded and has been renovated many times. Wood items are often damaged by termites, rot are also replaced, reinforced and many items are rebuilt.



Today, Cao Dai communal house has an architectural style of the First and Second Dinh characters. The Dinh document building consists of the main worship hall and the rear palace. The frame is made of ironwood, the roof is covered with Nam tiles.
The monument also reserves many touches with the rich topics, the most prominent is the two columns and the door of the middle of the middle road is carved very sophisticatedly, with the theme of dragon, fairy, female bird leaves. These are wooden carvings of the 17th -century artistic style. In the middle of the road, on a beam in front of the harem touching the Chinese character "The great king of the god".
In addition, Cao Dai communal house still preserves some valuable artifacts, including the stone stele built during the Tran Dynasty in 1293.
In front of the Cao Dai royal national relic site, there is also the tomb of the princess Phung Duong placed on a high plot of land, with lush trees and shade all around.
