On the evening of March 15, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Soc Trang province coordinated with the People's Committee of Chau Thanh district to organize the opening of the 1st pink Khen Flower Week in 2025.

The pink flute week takes place from March 15-19 with many attractive activities such as a pink flute photo exhibition; watching a Rom Vong dance performance, experiencing the cleaning of green rice; introducing souvenirs, local tourism gifts and tours in the region.
Mr. Nguyen Van My - Vice Chairman of Chau Thanh District People's Committee (Soc Trang province) - said that this event aims to promote the image of pink vests associated with the potential and strengths of local tourism development to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists; attract investment resources, promote tourism development, and contribute to the successful implementation of the goal of making tourism an important economic sector of Chau Thanh district.

For many years, Chau Thanh district (Soc Trang province) has been known for the 1 km long pink flute road leading to the district's administrative center. According to Chau Thanh District People's Committee, the locality started planting 160 pink Khen trees in 2012. Recognizing the beauty and appeal of this flower, in 2019, the district continued to plant 122 additional trees. The total number of trees is currently 282.
Since then, the Chau Thanh pink flute road has become famous throughout the West every time it is the flower season and has become a symbol, a "doorway" to welcome visitors to Soc Trang province.
