Surpassing many nominations, Divo Tung Duong with Rebirth from Vietnam and Lola Amour with Raining in Manila from the Philippines won the category of International Special Award of the most prestigious music award in Japan - Music Awards Japan 2025.
The award was presented to Tung Duong by Mr. Shunichi Tokura - Member of the Ministry of Culture of Japan. Mr. Shunichi Tokura commented: "This award is in line with one of MAJ's main goals of bringing Asian culture, art and music to the world stage. We have collaborated with 6 Asian countries and MAJ recognizes artists who have won outstanding awards in corresponding categories".

Singer Tung Duong proudly shared with international friends: "I am honored to be here, it is music that brought us closer together at this award ceremony. Throughout my 20 years of career, I have used music to share my spirit and spiritual ideas. I would like to thank MAJ for recording my music. I am very proud to be the first Vietnamese artist to receive a major award. Today is also a new start for my music career".
It was even more surprising when Tung Duong chose the chorus of "A Round of Vietnam" (composed by Dong Thien Duc) to sing with a wide range of chants to close his sharing in the extended applause of the audience attending the awards ceremony.
It can be seen that the presence of Divo Tung Duong at this prestigious music award from Japan is not only the pride of the Vietnamese music industry but also a wonderful cultural bridge between the two countries.
"Being able to interact and meet famous artists from Japan and Asian countries, I have learned with my own eyes the good things in the careful, sophisticated organization of every detail, full of identity and specialty from the Japanese. This award is a source of positive energy for me to have more material for my music so that I will have more quality music products to serve the domestic audience" - Tung Duong added.
