Should workers with kidney disease eat cassava?

For workers with kidney disease, whether to eat cassava or not needs to be carefully considered because kidney disease requires a suitable diet.

Cassava is a familiar, cheap food and provides a lot of energy, often appearing in workers' meals.

However, for workers with kidney disease, whether to eat cassava or not needs to be carefully considered, because kidney disease requires a suitable diet to avoid making the disease worse.

In terms of nutrition, cassava contains a lot of starch, helping to provide energy for the body, suitable for workers who have to work hard. However, cassava is poor in protein and micronutrients, while people with kidney disease need a balanced diet, strictly controlled for protein, potassium and phosphorus.

If you eat cassava regularly without combining it properly with other foods, workers may suffer from necessary nutritional deficiencies.

Another important problem is the potassium content in cassava. For people with kidney disease, especially kidney failure, the body's ability to excrete potassium is reduced. Consuming foods rich in potassium can increase blood potassium, which can have a negative impact on the cardiovascular system.

Although cassava is not a food with a very high potassium content compared to some other vegetables, if eaten in large quantities or eaten regularly, the risk of potassium accumulation can still occur, especially when kidney function has declined.

Fresh cassava, if not processed properly, can contain substances that are not beneficial to health. For people with underlying diseases such as kidney disease, excretion and metabolism have been impaired, unsafe consumption of cassava can increase the burden on the body. This is even more noteworthy for workers, due to their easily tired physical condition and need for stable health to work.

However, this does not mean that workers with kidney disease must absolutely abstain from cassava.

In some cases, workers with kidney disease can still eat cassava in small quantities, not often and carefully processed, while balancing with other foods in the meal. More importantly, food choices should be based on the severity of kidney disease and the doctor's instructions.
