According to a report by the Dak Lak provincial professional agency, in the first 8 months of the year, trade and service activities in the area recorded impressive growth.
Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue is estimated at more than 122 trillion VND, up 16 trillion VND compared to the previous month, reaching 67% of the plan and increasing by 13.8% over the same period last year.
Export turnover is equally impressive, estimated at 2,045 million USD, up 256 million USD compared to the previous month, reaching 91% of the plan and increasing by 33.9% over the same period last year.
The tourism sector also recorded an explosion with a total estimated 5.325 million visitors, an increase of 730 thousand visitors compared to the previous month, reaching 84.52% of the plan and an increase of 40.76% over the same period.

Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND9,835 billion, an increase of VND1,450 billion compared to the previous month, reaching 78.06% of the plan and increasing by 58.57% over the same period.
In terms of enterprises, it is estimated that by the end of August 2025, 1,918 new enterprises will be granted business registration, an increase of 242 enterprises compared to the previous month, reaching 52% of the plan and an increase of 52.2% over the same period.
The number of enterprises announcing their resumption of operations also reached 521, while the number of enterprises temporarily suspending operations was 1,278 and 341 dissolved enterprises.
Accumulated to 19,098 operating enterprises in the area, an increase of 155 enterprises compared to the previous month.
These figures demonstrate the strong recovery and development of the Dak Lak economy.
