The ship named Weinan has just participated in a training course to test its ability to fight against the company at the company level as well as the commander's decision-making ability.
The most prominent improvement of the new model is the two-sided radar system, replacing the spherical radar arches that were familiar on previous versions. The new radar design is similar to that equipped on the newly deployed Type 054B class guardship, most likely a rotary active electronic scanning (AESA) radar system.
This type of radar significantly improves the ability to detect and track targets in the air and at sea, including targets using stealth technology. The integration of an advanced radar system into the currently operating Axis ship marks a new step forward in the combat capabilities of the Chinese surface watercraft fleet.
The Type 052D class destroy ship is the most modern generation of guided missile ships of the Chinese Navy, developed from the Type 052C model. Although the body structure is still the same, the upper part of the ship has been designed in the direction of reducing radar signal reflection, contributing to increasing the invariance on modern battlefields.
The ship is equipped with a 130mm H/PJ-38 main artillery piece and a multi-purpose 64-room vertical tubing system. The system allows the deployment of various types of missiles, including the HHQ-9B long-range surface-to-air missile, the YJ-18A hypersonic anti-ship missile, and the CY-2 underground anti- missile.
The ship has a capacity of 7,500 tons of fully loaded water stretches and a maximum speed of more than 30 knots. The ship is designed to carry out many tasks such as regional air defense, anti-submarine, escorting key forces and long-range attacks. Other modern equipment includes an advanced combat control system, powerful electronic warfare capabilities and a parking lot for the Z-9C or Ka-27 helicopters.
The appearance of the upgraded Type 052D shows China's efforts to modernize the Navy fleet.
