Traffic route from Ho Chi Minh City to the Northern provinces:

Route 1 (for all types of vehicles): New Eastern Bus Station → National Highway 1 → Dong Nai Bridge → Vung Tau Intersection → National Highway 51 → Vo Nguyen Giap Street (Bien Hoa City bypass) → National Highway 1 (Dau Giay Intersection) → Northern provinces.

Or: New Eastern Bus Station → National Highway 1 → Dong Nai Bridge → Vung Tau intersection overpass → National Highway 1 (Dau Giay intersection) → Northern provinces.

Route 2 (for cars): New Eastern Bus Station → National Highway 1 → Dong Nai Bridge → Vung Tau Intersection → National Highway 51 → Long Thanh – Phan Thiet Expressway → Northern provinces.

Route from Ho Chi Minh City to the provinces of the Southeast and Central Highlands:

Route 1 (for all vehicles): Mien Dong Bus Station → National Highway 13 → National Highway 14 (or DT 741).

Route 2 (for all vehicles): National Highway 13 → Pham Van Dong Street → National Highway 1, Thu Duc City (Le Kha Phieu Street) → National Highway 1 → Dong Nai Bridge → Vung Tau Intersection Overpass → National Highway 1 (Dau Giay Intersection) → National Highway 20.
