On the morning of April 24, the leader of the People's Committee of Khanh Nam commune, Khanh Vinh district (Khanh Hoa) informed - regarding the body of the male victim discovered on Cai river, passing through Hon Du village, after the information was posted on social networks, the authorities had determined his identity.
Accordingly, the victim was Mr. Pi Nang Th. (born in 1972, residing in Khanh Thuong commune, Khanh Vinh district). Late on April 23, local people discovered the body of a middle-aged man wearing black pants, not wearing a shirt, drifting to the edge of Cai River, passing through Team 6, Hon Du village.
That same night, local police quickly arrived at the scene and blocked off the area.
During the night, the Criminal Police and Criminal Techniques of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police were also present at the scene, conducting investigation activities on the scene, and autopsies.
The authorities also urgently reported to social media platforms to search for the victim's whereabouts.
Through the examination, the police determined that the victim drowned and died.
Currently, the authorities are carrying out procedures to hand over the victim's body to the family for funeral arrangements according to regulations.
