On August 7, leaders of the People's Committee of Y Ty commune, the Bat Xat Construction Investment Project Management Board in coordination with Thien Tam Fund (Vingroup Corporation) organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Sim San bridge.
This is a bridge located on the road connecting the center of Y Ty commune to the border villages of Sim San 1, Sim San 2 and Hong Ngai.
Sim San Bridge is built with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete, with a total length of 37.1 m and a bridge surface width of 7.5 m.
The approach roads at both ends of the bridge are designed according to the standards of a grade B-GTNT road (rural intersection), with a road surface of 3.5 m wide, and sidewalks on each side of the bridge 1.5 m wide. The total length of the route is more than 251 m.
The project has a total investment of 12 billion VND, of which Thien Tam Fund sponsored 8 billion VND, the provincial budget supported 4 billion VND. It is expected that Sim San Bridge will be completed before October 31, 2026.

Previously, Sim San Bridge was washed away for the first time during Typhoon Yagi in 2024, and in May 2025, it will continue to be washed away by floodwaters for the second time. This has caused people in 3 villages with more than 300 households to be almost isolated from the outside
In erratic rainy and windy weather conditions, the movement of people in Sim San 1, Sim San 2 and Hong Ngai villages through the only road is even more difficult and dangerous.
In early July 2025, the temporary bridge was completed to give people a way to travel outside, but the risk of landslides and drift still exists.
