Lao Cai province is simultaneously implementing many projects to urgently repair damaged traffic routes and problems caused by floods.

According to the reporter's investigation, in recent days, many projects to repair and repair traffic routes affected by floods in Lao Cai province have simultaneously found contractors.

Recently, on August 6, the Lao Cai Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board No. 1 announced the bidding for Package No. 05: Construction of the project to urgently overcome the Son Luong - Nam Muoi - Sung Do road, Yen Bai province (old).

Package No. 05 is priced at more than VND 29.2 billion from the central budget (reserve capital) and the provincial budget; the implementation period of the package is 180 days; construction in 3 old communes of Van Chan district, Yen Bai province, formerly Son Luong commune, Nam Muoi commune and Sung Do commune (now Son Luong commune).

This project was approved by the People's Committee of Yen Bai province under Decision No. 1105/QD-UBND dated May 26, 2025, with a total investment of 35 billion VND.

Previously, on August 3, the Lao Cai Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board No. 1 announced the invitation for bidding for Package No. 06: Construction of the Tan Dong - Cam An Emergency Repair Project, Yen Bai Province.

Package No. 06 is priced at nearly 54 billion VND from the central budget (reserve capital) and the provincial budget; the implementation period of the package is 180 days; construction in Tan Dong commune, Tran Yen district, the old Yen Bai province (now Tran Yen commune) and Cam An commune, Yen Binh district, the old Yen Bai province (now Bao Ai commune).

The above project was approved by the People's Committee of Yen Bai province under Decision No. 926/QD-UBND dated April 29, 2025, with a total investment of 65.6 billion VND.

A day earlier, on August 2, the Lao Cai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board announced the bidding for Package No. 6: Construction of works (including traffic assurance costs) of the Provincial Road Traffic Repair Project157 at Km23+500.

Package No. 6 costs more than 18 billion VND from the central budget and the provincial budget; the package implementation period is 360 days; construction in Phong Hai commune, Lao Cai province (Phong Hai Farm town, Ban Cam commune of Bao Thang district, old Lao Cai province).

Regarding the project, it was previously approved by the People's Committee of the old Lao Cai province under Decision No. 1091/QD-UBND dated April 10, 2025, with a total investment of 25 billion VND.

Also on August 2, Lao Cai Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board No. 1 also announced a bidding invitation (second time). Package No. 27: Construction of the Road connecting National Highway 32 with Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway (IC15) - Category: Handling locations affected by landslides on positive and negative slopes, damaged road surfaces and vertical ditches caused by rain and storms.

Package No. 27 costs more than 78.6 billion VND from central budget capital, local budget capital and other legal capital sources; the package implementation period is 180 days; construction in the area of 2 old districts of Yen Bai province, formerly Van Chan and Van Yen districts.

The package will handle landslides No. 02; 09; 10; 14; 19 and negative slopes No. 18 on the route (now in Gia Hoi commune and Dong Cuong commune, Lao Cai province).

Regarding the project of the Road connecting National Highway 32 with the Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway (IC 15), the People's Committee of Yen Bai province (old) approved adjustments and supplements according to Decision No. 1104/QD-UBND dated May 26, 2025, with a total investment of nearly 640 billion VND (after adjustment).
