On the morning of July 6, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh commune (Quang Tri province) said that a traffic accident had just occurred in the area, causing 2 casualties.
At about 1:00 a.m. the same day, at the National Highway 1 flood avoidance route through Tay village (Quang Ninh commune), container trucks and trucks traveling in the opposite direction suddenly faced each other and caught fire fiercely.
The collision resulted in 1 person dying on the spot, the other person being seriously injured and taken to the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Hospital in Dong Hoi for emergency treatment.
Immediately after receiving the report, the authorities quickly arrived to put out the fire, protect the scene and investigate the cause of the incident.
