On the afternoon of December 9, information from the Management Board of Pu Mat National Park, Nghe An province, this unit has just discovered 21 dead wild boars in the forest area of Pu Mat National Park.
Specifically, the dead wild boars were mainly found along streams and showed no signs of being affected by illegal hunting; each boar weighed about 20-30kg and some were beginning to decompose. The cause of death of the aforementioned boars is currently unknown.
The number of dead wild boars was mainly concentrated in the forest areas managed by Khe Choang Station in Chau Khe Commune, Con Cuong District, along with Khe Thoi, Tam Dinh and Tam Hop stations in Tam Quang Commune, Tuong Duong District.
Pu Mat National Park has reported to the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine of Nghe An province to send officers to the scene to determine the cause.
