Promoting non-cash pension payments
According to Vietnam Social Security (BHXH), currently payments through personal accounts are increasingly being expanded to reduce waiting times and create convenience for beneficiaries.
This form also helps limit the situation of crowded gatherings at cash receiving points, while improving transparency and safety in the payment process.
According to current regulations, the transfer of pensions and social insurance allowances through personal accounts must be completed no later than the 5th day of each month.
For cash recipients, the payment period will last from the 12th to the end of the 25th of each month at transaction points of the payment service unit or the post office.
Data from Vietnam Social Security shows that currently there are about 3.5 million people nationwide receiving pensions and monthly social insurance allowances.
In which, more than 11,500 people receive a salary of 20 million VND/month or more; nearly 418,500 people receive a salary of 10 to less than 20 million VND per month.
In addition, more than 1 million people are receiving pensions and allowances from 6 to less than 10 million VND/month; about 1.35 million people receive levels from 3 to less than 6 million VND/month. This is the group accounting for a large proportion of the total number of beneficiaries today.
Maintaining full and on-time payment of pensions and social insurance allowances is of great significance to people's lives, especially in the context of increasing living and healthcare costs.
For many elderly people, the monthly pension is a "backing point" to help them stabilize their lives after many years of working.
The Social Insurance Agency also recommends that beneficiaries carefully monitor the payment schedule at the local level, check personal account information and proactively update new notices to avoid delays in the process of receiving June money.

Recipients through personal accounts will be prioritized for early money transfers, while the cash receipt form continues to be implemented through the post office system and direct payment points.
