On January 9, information from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) of Thanh Hoa province said that in order to serve the work of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee, 27 civil servants, public employees and workers (including 6 civil servants, 17 public employees and 4 labor contracts) of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Thanh Hoa province voluntarily wrote a request for early retirement.
Among the 27 officials who applied for early retirement, 1 person was Deputy Head of a Department of Professional Affairs; 5 people were Deputy Directors of units under the Department; 4 people held the positions of Head, Deputy Head of Departments, and Faculty of the unit; 13 people were civil servants and public employees who did not hold leadership or management positions, and 4 had labor contracts.
Among the 27 people, there are cases with 3 to over 10 years of work left. Such as the following cases: Mai Xuan Khoi - Deputy Head of the Department of Labor and Employment; Tran Viet Ty - Deputy Director of the Center for Social Work Services; Hoang Minh Thanh - Deputy Director of the Center for Nursing for People with Merits; Nguyen Thi Hien - Head of the Department of Case Management and Community Development (Center for Social Work Services).
According to statistics, Thanh Hoa Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs currently has 9 specialized and professional departments and 12 affiliated public service units, with a total number of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of 707 people (including: 72 civil servants, 386 public employees and 249 labor contracts).
Implementing the policy of the Party Central Committee, the Government, and the Provincial Party Standing Committee on implementing Resolution No. 18, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs continues to implement the roadmap for reforming the organizational apparatus to improve work efficiency and coordination between agencies and units.
It is expected that the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thanh Hoa and the Department of Home Affairs will be merged to form the Department of Home Affairs and Labor; the functions, tasks and organization of the state management advisory apparatus in the fields of social protection, children, and prevention and control of social evils of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will be transferred to the Department of Health; the functions, tasks and organization of the state management advisory apparatus in the field of vocational education of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will be transferred to the Department of Education and Training; the functions, tasks and organization of the state management advisory apparatus in the field of poverty reduction of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs will be transferred to the Ethnic Minorities Committee.
