3 remaining flooded spots in Hanoi after heavy rain on September 30

Hanoi - As of 4 p.m., the city still has 3 flooded spots, but vehicles can travel at these locations.

Hanoi Drainage Company Limited has just reported on the drainage situation at 4:00 p.m. on October 2.

Regarding the rainfall, from 7am to 4pm on October 2, there was no rain in the city.

Regarding the flooding situation, due to the influence of storm No. 10, especially the very heavy rain on September 30, the water level on the Nhue River is still high, in the city there are still some flooded areas in the Nhue River basin: Thang Long Avenue (underpass No. 6, Km9+656), Vo Chi Cong ( UDIC building), Buoc Bridge (from Tan Trieu Hospital - Yen Xa canal). However, traffic is now available at these points.

The company has mobilized maximum forces and vehicles to be on duty at flooded areas and coordinated to support people and authorities to move through flooded areas.

Reasonable operation of the main pumping stations on the system: Yen So pumping station operates at 100% capacity (20/20 pumping stations) and 100% of the capacity of the pumping stations: Cau Buu, Dong Bong 1 and 2 pumping stations, Co Nhue pumping station, Da Sy pumping station... to quickly lower the water level on the system.

The blast gates operate according to the correct procedures, ensuring traffic safety in low-lying areas.

Regarding the work of ensuring the operation of the drainage system, from the early morning of October 2, the Company has deployed on-duty work, water drainage settlement, garbage collection at collection points throughout the management area, opening the floodgates of regulating lakes and operating the maximum capacity of the main pumping stations to lower the water level on the system in accordance with regulations.

According to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper on October 2 on Cau Buu Street, in front of Tan Trieu K Hospital gate, floodwaters made it difficult for many vehicles to travel, causing congestion for many hours.

The flooding that has lasted for the past 2 days has also made the examination and treatment at this hospital difficult and inconvenient.

Here, the Traffic Police force is always on duty to regulate, divert traffic as well as support and help people pass through the flooded section safely.
