According to information from the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, from July 24 to 27, 2025, the Indian Navy's fleet, including the INS Delhi sister ship, the Kiltan anti-ship guardship and the Shakti tanker, will dock at Tien Sa port, starting a commune tour of Da Nang city.
During their time in Da Nang, the crew will meet with leaders of the city, Military Region 5, and Naval Region 3; and exchange volleyball with officers and soldiers of Naval Region 3.
In particular, within the framework of the visit, the fleet will conduct bilateral training at sea with the Navy Region 3 force after the vessel leaves port.
According to the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, the visit of the Indian Navy to the city aims to contribute to strengthening the relationship of friendship, cooperation, exchange, mutual understanding and promoting the Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership established in 2016.
In recent years, India has regularly sent Navy ships to pay a visit to Da Nang City. The most recent was a visit by two Indian Navy ships, INS Delhi and INS Satpura, to pay a paid international visit to Da Nang city in May 2023.
India is one of the important partners of Da Nang City, currently having a direct flight from Ahmedabad (India) to Da Nang, with a frequency of 3 flights/week. The total number of Indian visitors in the first 6 months of 2025 accounted for about 7.38% of the total number of international visitors, ranking 2nd out of 10 international markets in Da Nang.
