At noon on October 15, the Traffic Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police (PC08) announced the results after 4 days of launching a peak campaign to handle violations of alcohol and drug concentrations, ensuring traffic order and safety in the city.
According to PC08 Department, the peak period will be implemented from October 11, aiming to strictly control the situation, restore discipline and order in complying with traffic safety laws in the city. This is also a key activity to ensure security, order, and traffic safety during the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Traffic Police force mobilized maximum numbers of soldiers, vehicles, and technical equipment, closely coordinating between teams and units.
The implementation is carried out drastically and synchronously according to the motto "No forbidden areas, no exceptions", ensuring that all violations are detected and handled in accordance with legal regulations.
After 4 days of peak implementation, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Police force has issued records to handle more than 6,000 violations, including more than 1,800 violations of alcohol concentration regulations; controlled vehicles with drugs in the body in 8 cases.
Sending notices to handle violations through images to nearly 1,900 cases, including nearly 900 speeding violations, nearly 400 traffic violations on the sidewalk, more than 520 stopping and parking violations that are not in accordance with regulations...
In the coming time, in order to maintain stable traffic order and safety, successfully welcoming the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, the Traffic Police Department will continue to promote topical topics, strengthen patrolling, regulating, dividing traffic flows, handling violations, preventing and reducing traffic accidents.
At the same time, the unit also focuses on improving the effectiveness of crime prevention on traffic routes, contributing to bringing a peaceful and happy life to the people of the city.
