On October 17, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Steering Committee of Quang Tri province organized a provincial-level fire fighting and rescue drill.
The hypothetical situation is that a fire broke out at the sleeping bag factory of Jinquan Vietnam Travel Equipment Company Limited in Nam Dong Ha Industrial Park (Quang Tri province).
Under the strong wind, the fire spread throughout the factory, smoke and toxic gas were produced, covering the entire factory area.
To extinguish the fire and rescue, the rescue force deployed in 6 stages.
The exercise mobilized more than 450 participants from nearly 30 related units with dozens of specialized vehicles, protective equipment, lighting, communication and professional equipment and vehicles. With the simulated complex fire situation, there was also the participation of supporting forces and vehicles from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Quang Binh Provincial Police and Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police.
After more than an hour of handling the situation, the exercise was successful, achieving the set goals and requirements, ensuring safety for the participating forces.
Mr. Ha Sy Dong - Permanent Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee - praised the forces participating in the fire fighting and rescue plan practice session, highly appreciated the advisory role of Quang Tri Provincial Police in helping the Provincial People's Committee complete the practice of the proposed plan. The practice of plans and situations for handling fire and explosion incidents aims to raise awareness and responsibility of cadres, employees and people for fire prevention and fighting.
